The Truesdell Corporation repaired concrete and concrete reinforcement for the interior walls of the filter basins, filter plenum, the wash water gullet and the interior and exterior of the wash water troughs for Filters 2 & 7.

Once working platforms were installed, surface preparation was completed using sandblasting and waterblasting methods. The specifications required the application of less than one inch of cementitious repair mortar over all of the existing concrete surfaces. Due to unique access requirements and cramped spaces, the Truesdell Corporation used both the dry shot process and the wet shot process. Sikarepair 224 and Sikacem 103 were the repair products of choice.

This repair will withstand the aggressive chemical and abrasive attack that these facilities place on the concrete elements of the structure.
