Polymer Overlays

Polymer Overlay can consist of methacrylate, epoxy or polyester resins. Because of the chemical processes and additives, it is not dependant on hydration or “drying” which makes curing time shorter allowing traffic to be released sooner. This in turn reduces the inconvenience to the traveling public. Polyester concrete overlays create a wear surface with a life expectancy of over 25 years while simultaneously protecting the underlying structures. A slurry application will waterproof the bridge deck surface and improve skid resistance.
