| Stitching |
|
| While Structural Concrete Bonding is still performed to the crack, the chance that the slab may crack again only inches away from the first one, sometimes requires that the crack be treated with the SCBÒ process and then stitched. The insufficient amount of joints is often the cause of cracks in residential homes as in this photo. The 3 foot steel reinforcing, placed at appropriate intervals will create load transfer and eliminate the chance for cracking anywhere in the treated area. Any deflection is treated at the same time with grinding, underlayment and a combination of the two. |
